DIARY DATE: Consett Brass Band will provide entertainment during a one-stop shop information centre being held from 10am to 1pm on Thursday, in Christ Church hall by Consett Churches and Neighbourhood Action.
MUSIC NIGHTS: Customers at the Blue Boar, Stanley, will be entertained by TBC at 8pm, tomorrow, followed by Tubesnake on Saturday next week.
WOODLAND WALK: A three-mile walk covering woodland paths will start at 10am, on Wednesday, from the Burnopfield Surgery.
BORDER MUSIC: Derwentside Accordion Club will be entertained by the Border Duo, from Brampton, at 7.45pm, on Thursday, at Castleside WMC.
GROUP EVENTS: Popmobility is being held at Consett Sure Start from 2pm to 3pm, on Wednesday, in Delves Lane village hall. The group is running a bus trip to Morpeth Park on Thursday from the hall.
PRESSURE GROUP: Traders in Lanchester have launched the Lanchester Business Group to lobby Derwentside District Council for action following recent flooding.
WATCH YOUR HEART: An exercise class with cardio-vascular workout is held from 7pm to 9pm each Monday at the St John Ambulance Hall, Consett. Each session costs £2. For more details, contact (01207) 506952.
BUS GRANT: A grant of £50,000 has been pledged by the Derwentside Crime and Disorder Partnership to provide a bus for young people.
