The league's management committee set a precedent in the close season by admitting three teams to the league after the AGM thus arresting the decline in the league members.
These new clubs have joined the league: Barnard Castle FC, Heighington FC and Spennymoor Fox and Hounds FC and Ferryhill Post Boy rescinded their resignation and have changed their name to Ferryhill Greyhound.
As with many leagues in the area more referees are required to officiate in the league on a regular basis and officials are currently required on Saturday, August 30, September 6, 13 and 20. Any referee with a vacant date on any of these dates is asked to contact the league secretary Doug Hawman on (01325) 281922 immediately.
The league is once again indebted to its sponsor, Longhorn Hardware, for its continued and very generous sponsorship package, The league's thanks are gratefully expressed.
