Three teams continue to share the leadership with Broughton and Kirby, East Harlsey and Kirby Sigston fighting it out for the championship.

Broughton and Kirby were at home to Maltby and won by seven wickets after dismissing their opponents in 33 overs with just 79 runs on the board. Their star in attack was Andrew Smith who claimed seven for 38.

In reply, the home side conceded three wickets but were never in serious danger as Andrew Robinson carried his bat for 41, with six boundaries. Andre White had no fewer than five fours contributing 23 as Broughton and Kirby recorded their 17th win of the season. Most productive bowler in the Maltby attack was Bains who claimed two of the three wickets to fall for 15 runs in 4.4 overs.

East Harsley defeated Hutton Rudby without losing a wicket. John Grange had a hat-trick in six for 27 and Willey captured the other four wickets for 32 runs when Hutton Rudby were all out for 60. Incredibly, Martin Pugh scored 50 of his team's 60 runs. Only two other batsmen, Gilchrist with five runs and Leather who contributed four runs, got off the mark as seven players failed to score. Replying East Harlsey had no trouble as Mason ended unbeaten on 44 and his opening partner Broadley carried his bat for 15.

Kirby Sigston also won at Stafford Place where their target was 165. After losing an early wicket Kirby Sigston never looked back. Rayner, who opened the innings, found an able partner in Thompson (50) and the pair put together a big stand for the second wicket. Following a dismissal of Thompson, Rayner went on to end with 62 not out and Clarkson finished unbeaten with 46.

Plews (53) and Peacock (55) were involved in a big partnership for the Scruton second wicket in the game at Chopgate where they totalled 177 all out. Stockton took three for 43, Vout two for 56 and Holmes two for 28 in the home attack.

Replying, Chopgate were indebted to Holmes for his opening score of 71 and both Stockton and Vout made 22. Even so, the innings collapsed to 129 all out as Brass returned the magnificent figures of eight for 38.

Ingelby Greenhow have enjoyed a better season and they recorded their fifth win in 20 outings defeating Thimbleby by 60 runs. Staples ended with 103 not out in a total of 198 for six and for Thimbleby, Garbutt took three of the six wickets to go down for 49 runs.

When they replied, Thimbleby were all out for 138 which included 36 by Daniel before he was run out. Ward ended unbeaten on 59 and for Ingleby Greenhow, Arthur Fawcett captured three for 30.

Despite scoring 193 for seven Crathorne lost by three wickets to Skelton Castle. Samarage batted throughout the Crathorne innings ending undefeated with 116 and Whitfield added 23 to the mere 200 total. Johnson had three for 51 and Irwin three for 38 for Skelton Castle who won with three wickets remaining. Openers Stainthorpe and Hoggarth both made 38 to give the innings a good send off before Himsworth contributed 27 and Gratton an unbeaten 20.

Kildale defeated Swainby by 229 runs. Batting first Kildale raced to 319 for four as the runs flowed from Cook with 89, Doughty (118 no) and Peirson, who ended unbeaten on 48. Three of the four wickets were taken by Shinwell at a cost of 102 runs.
