In the second half a dispirited Billingham pressed forward trying to get back into the match, which they did due to a Darlington player putting through his own goal on the hour. But they failed to create many more chances and last season's end of season's form team took all three points by scoring all three goals.

The first 15 minutes was evenly balanced but former Cleveland Bridge player Trenton Hewitt scored to give the Albion the lead.

Eight minutes later Gary Mitchell made it 2-0 which remained the score at half time. The opening ten minutes of the second half saw SRM push forward looking for a way back into the match but in the 55th minute Chris Robinson gave the Albion a 3-0 lead.

This saw the SRM player heads drop and the Albion then added further goals through John Banks in the 68th minute. Mitchell added his second and his team's 5-0 before substitute Malcolm Kemp made it 6-0 and Rodney Brown rounded oFf a man of the match display with his team's seventh in the 81st minute.

Darlington RA Res 1 v 3 Dormans FC

the game swung in favour of the visitors when Lee Doherty scored his first from the spot. The youngsters of RA pressed forward and their efforts were rewarded when a Stuart Knox own goal gave him a debut to remember. In the second half the game swung in favour of the visitors when former Acklam player Lee Atkinson made it 2-1. The RA again pressed forward but on the stroke of 90 minutes Atkinson scored again.
