Newfit Services Willington: Reigning league champions, Hunwick Joiners Arms made a disastrous start to the new season when they went down to the visiting Willington Burn by three points.
The title holders had singles wins from John Mason, Ian Richardson and Dave Robson with Kevin Dunnett and Dave Robson adding a doubles point. The Burn went to victory with singles wins from Sean Pardew, Tony Longhorn and Colin Davidson with Lyndon Taylor and Sean Pardew adding a doubles. The Burn completed a good win when they took the double points team game.
There were mixed fortunes for the league's newcomers as Byers Green Royal Oak beat the visiting Willington Black Horse Inn by the odd point, but Sunnybrow Brown Trout only managed to take one point from the visiting Willington Commercial.

Tow Law Rose and Crown celebrated their first win after nine consecutive defeats when they beat the visiting Esh McKenna's by three points. The visitors began in style when they took both the trebles points and them moved 4-1 up when Craig Trepte and Joe Starr took two singles with George Gwynette replying. From that point the home side took over with singles wins from Dave Bruce, Alan Spence and Steve Morris. The first victory was completed when the Rose and Crown took all three doubles points.
The leading individual scorers were S. Raine 180 and 140 for the Station, M. Boughey two 140's and W. Anderson and J. Jordan 140 each for the New Market B, C. Bowes 140 for Dan's Castle, R. Young 140 for the Royal Oak and B. Peacock 140 for the Comedian. L. Hopps of Billy Row Club made the best start of the week with 160.
League leaders, Tow Law New Market A visited Esh Stag's Head and pushed their hosts out of the top three when they only dropped three points. After the trebles were shared the Stag's took the first singles through Keith Robson but then the visitors took the remaining singles through David Dixon, Bob McFadden, John Parkin, Colin Armstrong and Ray Houghton. The home side added to their score by taking one of the three doubles points. This leaves the New Market A seven points clear of Newhouse Club, who are thirteen ahead of Billy Row Club, who moved into third place.

Crook 4Ds League
Crook Golden Fleece snatched the darts title in the final match of the season when they whitewashed their hosts at Crook Coach and Horses A. This left the Coach and Horses B team in second place after they dropped three points on their visit to Willington Brewer's Droop.
The leading darts individual scorers were Alan Hawkey and Jeff Sneath, who both hit 180 and 140 for the Coach and Horses B, whilst Stephen Hayton and Barry Longstaff both hit 140 for the Golden Fleece.
Crook Coach and Horses A landed the dominoes title with a two points win over the visiting Crook Golden Fleece, whilst the Coach and Horses A ended two points adrift, level with Crook Royal Sun, after they won by two points at Willington Brewer's Droop.

The final positions and points in the darts section were 1 Golden Fleece 61 points; 2 Coach and Horses B 60; 3 Royal Sun 46; Coach and Horses A 29; Brewer's Droop 24.
The final positions and points in the dominoes section were 1 Coach and Horses A 46 points; 2 equal Coach and Horses B and Royal Sun 44 each; 4 Golden Fleece 38; 5 Brewer's Droop 28.
Crook Ladies League
Crook Jelly's Bar B only dropped one point to the visiting Billy Row Royal George and this allowed them to move up to share top place in the table with Crook Queen's Head A, who won by five points at Tow Law Station.
