VISITORS to a Roman fort will be able to see what life was like in the past.
Re-enactment group Antiqua will be at Binchester Fort, near Bishop Auckland, County Durham, on Monday.
Medical, military and domestic equipment will be on display and there will be guided tours of the fort.
Rent-a-peasant will bring alive the non-military side of life, with bread-making, spinning, weaving and Roman games.
Binchester was once the largest Roman fort in the county and contains the best-preserved military bathhouse in Britain.
It will be open from 11am until 5pm.
Admission is £1.60 for adults, and 80p for concessions.
