PROMOTIONAL tickets for two attractions go on sale this weekend to encourage families to visit them.
The World of James Herriot, in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, has joined forces with the recently opened Wensleydale Railway in a marketing initiative to offer joint tickets to the attractions.
Visitors can spend time at the visitor centre discovering where the world's most famous vet lived, before taking the scenic route into the Dales via the railway to see where he plied his trade.
A £10 adult ticket allows entrance to The World of James Herriot and a return trip between Leeming Bar and Leyburn. Tickets are valid until October 31, can be used at any time during that period and do not have to be used on the same day.
