WALKERS are being urged to put their boots on and collect money for a Day Out in Duncombe Park, near Helmsley
The Faversham family has given permission for the estate to be opened to give walkers, disabled people and children in pushchairs the opportunity to see the grounds.
A series of sponsored walks and children's adventure trails has been organised for September 7, to raise money for the Ryedale Citizen's Advice Bureau.
The groups that raise the most sponsorship will receive prizes, including trips to the National Railway Museum, in York, Castle Howard and Eden Camp, both of which are near Malton.
Anyone can take part in the walks, and for those without sponsorship, entrance is £3.
Leaflets about the walks are available from shops, libraries and information centres in the Ryedale area. For more information, call (01944) 768276.
