FREE taster sessions are on offer for anyone interested in learning more about the world of digital media.
The sessions can lead to a ten-week course on either web page design or desk top publishing, but there is a fee for the course.
The programmes are being organised by Stockton Borough Council's adult education service at a variety of locations around the borough.
There are two taster sessions available and they will run from next month through to the end of January next year.
The first is 123 Digital Media, which gives community groups the chance to use the latest digital media equipment to promote their community groups online.
The course will give training in community group skills, basic information technology, movie editing and production with a view to students being able to produce a one, two or three minute digital movie or a website for their community group.
Another course is 123 Snapshots, which covers an introduction to digital video cameras. Students will discover how to plan a movie using storyboards and scripting, filming a movie and how to edit it.
At the end of the course, students will have produced a one, two or three minute movie on a subject of their choosing which can be uploaded to a website or burned on to a CD-ROM.
For more information about the courses and when and where they will be held contact Martin Shipley on (01642) 397365.
