COUNCILLORS will be asked to decide on Thursday whether a 1960s eyesore estate should be redeveloped into 370 new houses.
The Courts Estate development, in Redcar, east Cleveland, would include a pub, library, shops and a supermarket, a youth and community centre and open spaces.
Persimmon Homes and Bellway will build 270 of the houses for sale.
Tees Valley Housing Association will develop 100 houses as bungalows, flats and family houses.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council officials are recommending that councillors approve the application with 15 conditions.
