POLICE are seeking a man and a woman in connection with a scam in which motorists are stopped and asked for petrol money.
There have been a number of incidents reported in and around Darlington.
Police say the couple have been driving a white Ford Fiesta, registration E21 6NEF.
The woman is described as about 33 or 34, 5ft 4in, tanned and slim with grey/blonde hair.
The man is about 5ft 8in with black scruffy hair and a scar on his forehead. He is of average to slim build. Anyone who may be able to help police is asked to call PC Sharon Murray on (01325) 467681.
