Hartlepool and District Hospice is asking runners who have been accepted for next month's Great North Run to help raise funds for the charity.

CHURCH FAIR: All Saints Church, Ingleby Arncliffe, is holding a fair on Saturday August 30 at 2pm. Admission is £1 and includes tea and biscuits. Children under 12 will be admitted free.
COFFEE MORNING: The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is asking organisations or groups to hold a coffee morning on Saturday, October 4, to help it reach a fundraising total of more than £125,000. To take part, or for details, call 0118-983 8207.
ANNUAL MEETING: South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust will hold its annual meeting in the staff restaurant of the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, on Tuesday, September 2. SURGERY DATE: Chris Webber, The Northern Echo's Stockton chief reporter, will be at Yarm Library on Wednesday, September 3, from 10am to noon, where residents will have the chance to meet him and discuss issues that concern them.
COMPUTER COURSE: The Masham Pub, in Hartburn Village, Stockton, is the venue for a community computer course.
