MULTI-MILLION pound plans to set up a company to own and manage 24,000 council homes in the North-East go on display on Wednesday.
Gateshead Borough Council is holding an open day at its housing office in Trinity Square, from 10am to 3pm.
The event aims to give council tenants information on plans to set up an organisation to own and operate their properties.
If it goes ahead, the deal could bring in £232m to improve council homes across the borough.
Further open days take place on Thursday, in Felling Housing Office, Booth Street, and on Friday, in Leam Lane Housing Office, Fewster Square.
If you cannot attend any of the open days but would like information on the plans, call Jill White at Gateshead Civic Centre on 0191-433 2653.
