A THREE-YEAR initiative set up to create learning opportunities for people in remote parts of North Yorkshire is going from strength to strength.
The College of the Dales has just published its latest and fullest prospectus offering rural residents countywide the chance to enrol in educational and development courses, ranging from Russian to coping with living alone.
The courses, which are offered from beginner to degree and professional level, have been funded and supported by North Yorkshire Community Education, Yorkshire Dales National Park, the county library service and Craven College.
Classes are held at many learning points, including sites in Malham, Hawes, Askrigg, Leyburn, Pateley Bridge, Skipton, Settle and Middleham.
