A CAMERA club is working towards creating a digital archive of images of a North-East city.
Wearside Camera Club has relaunched itself as Wearside Photo Imaging in recognition of the modern emphasis on digital photography.
Most members of the club have now changed over, at least partly, to digital photography and are working on a new series of works called The Fulwell Project.
The project involves club members capturing images of what makes Sunderland special, and the group intends to transfer its work into digital archives so it will be available for future generations to access.
The project will be extended to cover Sunderland and club organisers are seeking new members.
Prospective participants need no equipment or expertise, and they can take part in a programme of activities that includes field trips, talks, lectures, competitions and demonstrations.
Club members meet at 7pm each Wednesday at the Fulwell Community Centre, in Chapman Street, in Fulwell, Sunderland.
