CHILDREN have enjoyed a monster bank holiday weekend at Castle Howard.
Huge inflatable creatures and monster mask-making were just two of the attractions for young visitors to the the estate, near Malton, as part of the Myths and Monsters Children's Weekend.
They were kept busy in Castle Howard's extensive grounds, with games and puppet shows taking over the Boar Garden yesterday.
They also learnt about archaeology and history, with soil sieving and classes in writing with a quill and ink.
During tours in the woods, children were told local myths and legends by the organisers.
