South Northumberland clinched the championship of the Foster's ECB North East Regional Premier League with another superb performance.
Adam Heather (127), Chris Hewison (96) and Martin Speight with 84 powered South North to 323-5 declared before Gateshead Fell were bowled out for 200.
South North were overjoyed at taking 30 points and ecstatic with the later news that Durham Academy had managed only ten points from their drawn game with Blaydon.
With two games to play, the champions are no fewer than 62 points ahead, having won 13 of their 20 matches.
Norton dropped a place and are second from bottom following their heavy defeat at Philadelphia for whom former Middlesbrough player Lee Beaumont produced season-best figures of 6-25. Marc Symington also claimed six wickets but Phili still totalled almost 200 with half centuries from Freddy Napier and Jim Allenby.
Stockton were held to a draw at Tynemouth. After reaching 221-8 and declaring, they found Ian Purdy again in good form and his 84 went a long way to earning the Seasiders a share of the points.
It's as you were at the top of the Darlington Building Society NYSD League Premier Division following the Bank Holiday programme.
Leaders Guisborough had half their wickets remaining when they defeated Richmondshire. Graham Shaw led the way with 65 despite young Christopher Layfield taking four wickets at economical cost.
Saltburn dismissed Northallerton for just 79 when Mauhtashim Rashid was again in outstanding form capturing five wickets for a mere 24 runs. Adil Ditta contributed 37 as the Seasiders won by seven wickets.
Darren Blenkiron hit a magnificent unbeaten 163 and Amol Muzumdar (103) in the Bishop Auckland total of 286-2 at Middlesbrough who replied with 159 for eight.
Imran Jan was another century-maker leading Blackhall to victory at Redcar but runs were scarce at Marske. Hartlepool managed only 109 with Fahim Fazal taking five wickets before Marske went on to win by six wickets.
Peter Cartwright's six-wickets haul failed to earn Darlington RA victory over Normanby Hall who were in the ascendancy at stumps and Darlington were way behind the Thornaby total of 235-4, which included an unbeaten 98 by Hrishikesh Kanitkar and 89 by Steel.
Wolviston regained the leadership of Division One overtaking Great Ayton, who were without a fixture. John Woolnough (54) and Jimmy Jones with 40 not out paved the way for a near-200 total and Redcar managed only 132 as Martin O'Neil took five of their wickets.
The points difference between Horden and Burnmoor was reduced to 12 as a result of Horden drawing their fixture at Eppleton. They secured maximum batting points in making 250 with a third wicket stand of 137 between Nadeem Khan (79) and Jeff Laws (84). Eppleton's reply never threatened the leaders who took 14 points from the contest.
With a weakened bowling attack, Burnmoor still proved too strong for Durham City. Mark Robson (5-48) was the main wicket-taker and support from Michael Callaghan (4-44) saw to it that City were restricted to 131 from 55 overs.
The Burnmoor batting was much more fluent. Mark Benfield (87 not out) and Barry Dews took the score to 110 before being parted. The rest was a formality.
