NINE singers with a school choir will be swapping their school hall for ancient European churches when they fly to Prague to give a concert.
The students are all members of St Leonard's School chamber choir, from Durham, and will be travelling to the Czech capital tomorrow, to perform in two venues.
They will give a concert in St Nicholas' Church, in Prague's old town square, and will then perform in the Basilica of the Holy Infant of Prague, a place of pilgrimage where an effigy of the baby Jesus is said to perform miracles.
Conductor Matthew Grehan-Bradley said: "The basilica is a very famous place and it will be a very special place to sing.
"Last year, we went to Barcelona, so they are quite into touring now."
