A MAN is recovering after being stabbed in the throat with a broken bottle.
The 22-year-old from Middlesbrough was injured during a street battle between two rival gangs in the town centre at 3am on Monday.
A total of 18 people clashed in Albert Road near its junction with Corporation Road.
Police officers arrested three men who were interviewed, but later released on bail.
The injured man was discharged following surgery at Middlesbrough General Hospital.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on (01642) 303126.
