A television chef from the US learnt all about mouthwatering British delicacies such as black pudding and haggis at this year's Stockton Summer Show.
Up to 15,000 people attended this year's four-day event at Preston Park Museum, near Eaglescliffe.
Many enjoyed the horse and pony competitions, fairground stalls and children's play equipment.
But most of the noise and the biggest crowd on the fourth day of the show, on Bank Holiday Monday, was centred on the US Wild West event which included lassooing, rope-spinning and knife throwing.
Leading US television chef Johnny Ciao also attracted attention as he explored the origins of British gastronomic delicacies including jellied eels, Yorkshire puddings, haggis, fish and chips and black pudding.
Mr Ciao entertained the crowds with his stories of cooking for Hollywood stars, including Whitney Houston, Gregory Peck, Carlos Santana and Henry Mancini.
Families also enjoyed quiet picnics and the craft fair tent.
"It was a definitely a big success this year with between 12,000 and 15,000 people attending," said a spokesman for Stockton Borough Council, which organised the event.
