THE Royal Agricultural Society of England has announced the line-up for the agricultural conference, the Great North Meet.
The conference on agriculture, sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, takes place on November 7, at Camp Hill, Kirklington, near Bedale.
National Farmers' Union chairman Ben Gill will open the conference with a keynote speech, followed by the former leader of the Conservative Party, Richmondshire MP William Hague.
Tassos Haniotis, who is a member of EU Commissioner Dr Franz Fischler's cabinet, will lead a talk on the Common Agricultural Policy and its mid term review.
Tony Wood from the Royal Bank of Scotland will be discussing the economic future of agriculture.
