ART DAYS: An art exhibition by users of the Durham Day Service will be held from Friday, September 5, to Wednesday, October 1, in the Lamplight Arts Centre, Stanley.
CHARITY SHOW: Frank Wappat will compere a grand charity show in aid of Willow Burn Hospice at the Empire Theatre, Consett, next Thursday, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5.
LAKELAND RAMBLES: Derwent Naturalists Field Club is holding two Lakeland walks on Saturday, September 6. A bus will leave Annfield Plain at 9.30am with pick-up spots on the route. Places must be booked on (01207) 508774.
HALL EVENTS: The Ladies Craft Group will resume at Delves Lane Village Hall, on Wednesday, from 1pm to 3pm. A manicure demonstration will be held on Thursday, from 1pm to 3pm, Kozi Kids restarts in the hall on Monday, September 8, from 10am to noon.
INDIAN FESTIVAL: The annual Ganesh Festival will be staged by Kalapremi (UK) in the Lamplight Arts Centre, Stanley, on Saturday, September 6. The festival starts at 11am with a meal at 1pm and a concert at 3pm. Tickets for the meal and concert cost £5 each.
CARERS' DAYS: The Ministeracres Retreat Centre is holding a Who Cares for the Carers days from Tuesday to Thursday, September 9 and 11. For details contact secretary Joan MacMillan, on (01434) 673248.
NATURE STROLL: A four-mile nature reserve walk will start at 10.45am on Wednesday, from the Tanfield Lea Marsh Nature Reserve car park.
