AFTER a £500,000 refurbishment, a nightclub has planned a gala reopening tomorrow.
Fire eaters, stilt walkers and dancers will all ensure that the club, DH-1, in Durham City opens in style.
Vimac Leisure, which owns DH-I and neighbouring Caf Rock in the city's North Road, said this week that its three-month refurbishment project had been aimed at creating the "wow" factor at the premises.
Richard Bond, DH-1's assistant manager, said: "When the refurbishment programme began the place was gutted. Now complete, the nightclub looks totally different.
"It will be a new experience for people coming to DH-I. I am looking forward to the feedback from people clubbing in the new look venue.''
The £500,000 investment in the club marks the completion of phase one of the company's overall plans.
Under phase two, Caf Rock will be upgraded. The work is due to begin early next year.
The club will be open tomorrow between 10.30pm and 2am.
