TELEVISION presenter Andy Kluz offered to lend a hand during National Volunteers' Week.
With a dozen residents, he rolled up his sleeves to attack a graffiti-covered yard leading off Richmond Market Square.
The clean-up, in Banks Yard, was organised as part of the Richmond Pride initiative, led byMayor Stuart Parsons, and held in conjunction with the Richmond Volunteer Bureau.
"It was hard work but great fun, thanks largely to the interesting group that took part," said Mr Kluz.
"We never stopped talking and there were many complimentary remarks from passers-by.
"I like to think we made a real difference to a little corner of the town."
