ZETLAND Hunt Pony Club enjoyed plenty of success at the national tetrathlon pony club championships earlier this month.
Competing at Moreton Morrell in Warwickshire, Nick Zissler won the individual novice boys category, Richard Thurlow-Begg finished third and the team, which also included Christopher Fall, won the team event.
The novice girls were also in the rosettes, with Georgina Zissler ninth individual and the team, including Jennifer Bainbridge and Stephanie Weddell, fourth.
The two teams had no room for errors or mishaps as neither had the comfort of a fourth member, with the three best scores to count.
The results were a credit to both the experienced athletes who have trained hard all year to achieve this success and the newcomers, Christopher Fall and Stephanie Weddell, who only joined the squad in the last couple of months.
The teams were trained by Sue Bainbridge (shooting), Julia Telfer (swimming) and June Dent (riding). They were managed by Sue Zissler.
