Contractors laying a pipeline near Northallerton have agreed to make sure a road is open for traffic so visitors can get to a vintage machinery show later this month.
The move will allow exhibitors and visitors access to event, run by the North Yorkshire branch of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club.
The show is being held at High Thornborough Farm, in Borrowby Road, on September 21. The contractors say they will ensure the area is open for traffic from at least September 17 to 24.
A spokesman for the club said: "The committee is really grateful to the contractors and the highways department of North Yorkshire County Council for their help and understanding over this project."
The show features vintage farm machinery, classic cars, mule and horse ploughing demonstrations and lots of other family entertainment.
Each year, proceeds are shared between two or three charities
