Seaton Carew are still in with a chance of promotion after overtaking Bedale's 180 with nine overs but just two wickets remaining.
Richie Evans contributed a valuable 40 with seven boundaries and Danny Robinson steadied the innings with an unbeaten 47, including five fours. But it was Kevin Rowntree's crucial input towards the end which swung the result.
Rowntree made a top-scoring 48 with two sixes and five fours and despite the intervention of Mallander (3-41) into the Bedale attack, Seaton secured the 20 points.
Batting first, Bedale had Wilkin, whose 48 included one six and five fours and Smith with 49, including seven boundaries, in form and for Seaton, no bowler did better than Rowntree, who in 12.2 overs returned 4-38.
Wolviston maintained their challenge, defeating Marske by three wickets.
A number of players made useful contributions with Mullen's 33 the top score as Wolviston edged to a match-winning 173-7.
When they batted first, Marske posted 171-9, which included 57 by opener Gibson. George Sayers took four wickets for 46 runs and Jimmy Jones 3-22 in the Wolviston attack.
Great Ayton are also in with a chance of going up despite being held to a draw by Normanby Hall. Glen Mudd batted throughout for Ayton, adding a superb 139 not out to a total of 247-4.
Although the Hall never threatened, they comfortably earned a draw with Geoff Robinson striking 47 in a total of 162-6.
Ayton used no fewer than eight bowlers in their attack, but failed to make significant inroads into the Normanby Hall innings.
Billingham Synthonia enjoyed an easy victory at Middlesbrough, where Keith Martin produced a magnificent performance.
He bowled throughout and in 22.4 overs, including eight maidens, captured eight wickets for just 45 runs. Martin Cull also bowled unchanged from the other end, conceding only 36 runs in 22 overs. Synners' reply was quick and effective.
They conceded just two wickets and victory was achieved after only 16 overs as David Fairley ended undefeated on 35. Guisborough had five wickets in hand of Darlington at Feethams.
Max Ripley added 54 and Colin Biglin 34, but even so a total of only 151 was achieved as Steve Donlon claimed six wickets for a meagre 26 runs.
Richard Hornbrook with 39 and Ryan Murray, who ended unbeaten on 45, then led Guisborough to victory despite Rob Lawrence picking up three wickets.
Marton passed 200 but were unable to bowl out Redcar, whose 54 overs resulted in a total of only 126-7 being realised.
Martin Reeves was in form for the Seasiders, recording eight boundaries in 56 while opening bowler Mark Ditchburn took four of the seven wickets to fall for a meagre 13 runs in 14 overs, bowling eight maidens.
Runs were a lot more plentiful when Marton made first use of the wicket. Paul Gaynon struck a couple of sixes and five fours in 58, Gary Knight hit 39 and Dean Kirby was also unbeaten on 42 out of a total of 215-5
