A sensory garden has been opened at a nursing home by Redcar MP Vera Baird.
Hillview Nursing Home, Eston, celebrated the unveiling of the garden with a Victorian-themed party which included cream teas, a balloon race and stalls.
The BUPA-run home teamed up with national horticultural charity, Thrive, to develop the garden, which is designed specifically to stimulate the senses and includes brightly coloured and highly scented flowers.
Other features of the garden include a summerhouse, raised flower beds, a patio area, a water feature and a seating area.
Jennie Gillham, home manager of Hillview, said: "Everyone is looking forward to having another aspect of our beautiful gardens to enjoy, maintain and use throughout the summer.
