TWO footballers from opposing sides shared an ambulance to hospital at the weekend.
In the 34th minute of Harrogate Town's home match against Altrincham on Saturday, Michael Ord was stretchered off with a leg injury.
The Harrogate player had struck the ground following a corner.
Ten minutes later, as an ambulance was preparing to take Mr Ord to Harrogate District Hospital, Altrincham goalkeeper Richard Acton damaged his shoulder after another fall.
He was stretchered off to join Mr Ord in the ambulance.
A Harrogate club spokesman said: "The two incidents were both from awkward falls.
"The players, who had been facing each other on the pitch, never expected their match would come to such an abrupt end in the same ambulance."
Harrogate won the Unibond Premier League clash 1-0 with a first half goal from Marc Smith.
