Clients and staff at a day centre are celebrating after winning a gardening award.
The Greenways Court day centre, in Consett, won the County Durham Care in Bloom competition.
They impressed the judges with a floral display of landmarks, including the Tyne Bridge, the Angel of the North, Penshaw Monument and Durham Cathedral.
Janice Pearse, of Create which organised the event, said: "This has made a huge difference. People in the community are taking an interest in the centre.
"They walk past and stop to discuss the garden - it has become a focal point.
"The group chose local landmarks because everyone has one that is particularly special in their lives.
"They spent many hours reminiscing while they chose which ones to use."
The judging panel also commented on the partnership work put into the garden between Greenways Court and residents and staff from Anchor Housing, at the association base in Consett.
The centre saw off competition from 11 other care homes in the contest.
They received their prize at a presentation ceremony in County Hall, Durham.
