An engineering business is looking to the West Indies in search of more international sales.
K Home Engineering, in Thornaby, Teesside, is among 24 firms from across the UK to sign up for a trade mission to Trinidad this month.
The company specialises in project management, construction management and engineering design.
Its links with Trinidad began after a request to tender for work from the managing director of international construction contractor Carillion, to work as a sub-contractor for a BP tender.
Peter Kay, director of engineering, said: "There are huge opportunities for UK companies in Trinidad. We are returning to Trinidad to build on our success and this trade mission programme is an ideal way to do so as any support or advice we need is readily available.
