Drinkers in Darlington who fancy their chances as a pop star can enter a "pub idol" contest.
The Brinkburn, in Lady Katherine Grove, is one of 85 John Barras pubs in the UK to run the competition.
Over the next six weeks The Brinkburn will be staging heats to find the cream of the town's talent who will then take part in a regional final.
Sponsored by drinks brand WKD, singers will compete for the pub idol title, a day in a recording studio and an all expenses trip for two to Las Vegas.
Karen Davies, manager of The Brinkburn, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who loves singing. I'm hoping we'll expose Darlington's hidden talent, and maybe a future star."
Spectators also have a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas in a prize draw.
The competition is free to enter and open to anyone over 18, except professional singers.
Anyone wanting details about when the heats start or to enter is asked to contact The Brinkburn.
