Some of Darlington's leading fashion shops will be showing their latest collections this month.

A Show in Fashion, hosted by DJ Judie McCourt, will take place at the Atlantic Bar and Club, on Tuesday, September 16.

The show will include clothes from Affleck and Moffat Menswear, Embelliss, Leggs, Fourth Chamber, Heaven and Kate Saint.

There will also be an opportunity to see the latest collections from design students at Darlington College.

The show is being organised by club owner Les Langley and Allison McKay, of AM Creative Productions, who writes a beauty column in The Northern Echo's NE magazine. Mrs McKay said: "We have got some great little shops in Darlington but they don't usually get the chance to take part in fashion shows.

"We wanted to get the independent shops together so they could show off their fashions, which are very individual and different from what you find in the high street."

Tickets cost £10 and are available from the club on (01325) 465807.
