It may only be September, but preparations are already under way for this year's panto season.
Geordie actor Tim Healy joined former Big Brother contestant Jonny Regan to launch Newcastle Theatre Royal's pantomime, Peter Pan. Healy, who will soon begin filming the final series of the award-winning television comedy drama, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, plays crocodile-phobe Captain Hook. Stacey Cadman, star of the BBC TV show Cave Girl, plays Peter Pan. Former Peterlee firefighter Jonny Regan returns to the Theatre Royal after a stint in last year's production Aladdin. He appears as Starkey the Pirate.
The cast also includes another Cave Girl star, Lucinda Rhodes Flaherty, along with comedy writer Keith Simmons.
Peter Pan shows at the theatre from Saturday, December 13, to Sunday, January 18.
