THE first youth club to open in Hartlepool for 30 years will be launched on the Headland, tomorrow.
The Abbey Street Project youth club has been built in the former Golden Anchor Hotel paid for with grants, including £440,000 from the Community Fund.
Keith Thomas, chairman of Headland Future, the organisation behind the scheme, said: "This is the culmination of years of hard work on the part of a small but dedicated group, whose vision of providing a better future for young people and the local community has now been realised.''
It has fitness and computer suites, a party or conference area, a caf and games room
