FOUR prize-winning musicians will be performing string quartets by Haydn, Ravel and Mendelssohn at a village church.
Students Rakhi Singh, Catrin Morgan, Polly Wiltshire and Elizabeth May, from the Royal Northern College of Music, will be playing at St Oswald's Church, in Sowerby, enhancing its already growing reputation as a popular venue for chamber music.
The Singh Quartet has been playing together for three years and has won the Nossek and Barborolli chamber music prizes at the college.
The recital will take place at 7.30pm, on Saturday, September 13.
Tickets are £7 in advance, from Hambleton Books and White Rose Books, in Thirsk, or £8 at the door.
