YOUNG people in North Yorkshire who are still trying to decide on their career options are being offered help.
They can contact the Learning and Skills Council's free Learning Helpline to find out about Modern Apprenticeships.
Apprenticeships are at record levels in the county.
About 5,000 young people in the region are in apprenticeship jobs including agriculture, business administration, care, hotel management, IT installation and engineering.
Spokesman Kevin Marrow said: "Young people who are not sure whether to start work now, go into sixth form or go to college or university, may find that modern apprenticeships give them the best of both worlds."
