A DARLINGTON dog-lover has become the sole UK distributor for a canine cooler-bed.
Debbie Purdy, who runs a website for owners of the rare Coton de Tulear breed of dog, approached the US manufacturer of the Canine Cooler pet bed to try to launch the product, which keeps dogs cool in hot weather, on the UK market.
Now the Pets at Home chain is reviewing the product, with the possibility of it being sold in their 100 outlets from next year.
Mrs Purdy's website, which she set up in June, sells collars, shampoos and even designer clothing for dogs.
