A DRIVER accused of being in a car crash in which two women died has been committed for trial at Crown Court.
Stephen Dack, of Litchfield Avenue, Walker, Newcastle, denied driving without due care and attention and aggravated vehicle-taking at South Durham Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Mr Dack was granted unconditional bail prior to a plea-and-directions hearing at Teesside Crown Court on October 13.
Irene Stephenson, a pedestrian, and Sarah Thompson, a passenger in another car, died in the accident on the A67 close to the Piercebridge junction, near Darlington, on December 5
