Darlington MP Alan Milburn will visit a revamped brownfield site in the town tomorrow.
Owner of Lingfield Point, the Marchday Group, has carried out a £16m redevelopment and revitalised the area as a business centre with up to 200,000sq ft of office space.
The park has boosted Darlington's recent success in the commercial property market, with business service organisation Capita moving 400 staff to offices on the site.
It is one of the biggest office lettings in Darlington, with 50,000sq ft of warehousing being transformed into an open-plan office.
Accommodation was also created for staff from care home owner Four Seasons Health Care.
Mr Milburn will view the Capita and Four Seasons offices and visit the site identified for the next phase of renovation.
Lingfield House was originally the home of Paton and Baldwin's, once Europe's largest wool manufacturer and still on the site in the form of Coats Craft UK
