Crook League: Crook Belle Vue, First Division leaders and Championship favourites, lost their penultimate match at Crook Coach and Horses A when they went down in the deciding doubles but still hold a four points lead over Crook Royal Sun, who also lost by the odd point at Willington Market
Crook Mill House are now only two points behind the Royal Sun.
The Coach and Horses A had singles wins from Ray Holliday, Phil Tobin and Lee Scott, whilst the Club levelled with wins from Jack Walker, Ivor Phillipson and Roy Hoggarth. In the deciding doubles, Paul Fiddis and Eric Reynolds of the Coach beat Dave Hakin and Ian Hodkinson.
Hunwick Club went to the top of the Second Division when they displaced Willington Brewer's Droop with a five points victory at Crook Jelly's Bar B. The home side's lone point came from John Finn, whilst Hunwick had singles wins from Davey Robson, Paul Maddison, Andrew Carr, Mike O'Brien and Ian Richardson to add to the doubles of David Thompson and Davey Robson.
This victory takes Hunwick Club two points clear of the Brewer's Droop, who have a match in hand. Crook King's Head are in third place, nine points behind the Brewer's Droop.

Tow Law Football Club held on to their first place after they won the top of the table clash at Tow Law Dan's Castle B in the decider. The footballers made a very good start with wins from Arthur Henderson and Charlie McGee but the Castle pulled level when Lee Stevenson and Anthony Lee won. In the decider Terry Ginty took the footballers to victory when he beat David Murray.
Tow Law Football Club now lead the table by two points, with Newhouse Club only one point behind Tow Law Dan's Castle B.
