County Super League: Ithe only match played, Shildon B raced into a big lead over the visiting Tow Law in the first half. Only Lee Cullinan managed to win a point for the Lawyers as the home side shot ahead with wins from Nigel Hall, Ian Sanderson, Dominic Hannon, Paul Fodden, Colin Bell and Brian Bailey.
After the break the Lawyers fought back and looked likely to at least force a draw but Shildon pulled off a narrow victory when Ian Sanderson and Dominic Hannon took their second points of the night to negate the wins from John Beveridge, Charlie Donaghy, Tommy Sloan, Andrew Burrows and Shaun Umpelby.
Crook League
Willington Market made certain of avoiding relegation to the Second Division when they won their final home match of the season by beating Crook Royal Sun by two points. The home side had two singles points from Micky Toward and Adrian Peacock with Syd Trow, Stuart Shillan and Dave Tobbell scoring one each to add to the doubles from Toward and Tobbell. The Royal Sun replied with two points from Graham Johnson, one each from Ronnie Hope, Cliffy Johnson and David Haygarth to add to the doubles from Hope and Haygarth.
The top of the table is already clear with Crook Olde Horse Shoe A champions with a 27 points lead over Crook Travellers Rest B, who are 19 points ahead of Crook Belle Vue. There was a first for the season in the league when Second Division leaders, Crook Coach and Horses B became the first team to record a maximum victory when they visited Crook Queen's Head B. The Coach are a massive 60 points clear at the top of the Second Division with Crook King's Head three points ahead of Howden Australian.
The Australian made themselves favourites to land the runners-up spot when they only dropped four points to the visiting Crook Golden Fleece A. The Aussie had two singles points from Ian Williams and Stephen Burke with Stephen Heyes, Steven hall, Michael Lee and Peter Johnson adding one each to the doubles of Lee with Heyes and John Allott with Burke. The Fleece's points came with two from Richard Hall and one each from Rebecca Newton and Stephen Fairgrieves.

Tow Law Scottish Courage League
Tow Law Dan's Castle A moved back to pole position in the table after they won by three points on their visit to Tow Law Station, whilst the former leaders, Sunniside Comedian went down by three points to the visiting Newhouse Club.
The Station's three points came from two players when Malcolm Boughey and Alan Ogilvie won their singles and then combined to take a doubles point. The Castle A team had singles wins from Ian Johnson, Lee Stockdale, Colin Armstrong and Anthony Hird with Malcolm Umpleby with Gary Watson and Stockdale with Hird taking doubles points.
The demise of the Comedian was not expected as they shared the singles with the visiting Newhouse Club. Harry Dinsdale, Steve Turner and Ian Dinsdale won singles points for the Club whilst Dave Walton, John Conoly and Morgan Errington levelled. However from that point the Club took over to win all three doubles points.
Tow Law Dan's Castle A now lead by two points with Sunniside Comedian four points ahead of Tow Law Football Club.

At the Annual General Meeting of the League Geoff Ayre was elected as Chairman, Barry Dowson secretary and Clare Tritton treasurer. Crook Individual League
Action returned to being hectic after a holiday break with some surprising results when the two leaders both suffered defeats. David Stephenson whitewashed David Craggs and then Richard Walker beat Johnny Mason in the decider.
There were two spectacular clearances in the matches played; one from Johnny Mason to win the decider against Lee Scott and the other from Darren Tinkler to beat Les Scott in the decider.

Crook Olde Horse Shoe will meet Willington Brewer's Droop in the final of the League Knock Out Cup after they came through their home semi-finals in vastly different manners.
The Olde Horse Shoe never dropped a frame against the visiting Crook Coach and Horses A. The results in the match (Horse Shoe names first) were Johnny Mason 2 Michael Burke 0; Cliff Owens 2 David Stephenson 0; Stephen Liddle 2 Dave Haygarth 0; Gavin Witton 1 Neil Campbell 0.
In the other semi final, Willington Brewer's Droop recovered from being four-nil down to win by two points against the visiting Henknowle Manor A. The results (Brewer's Droop names first) were Billy Wragg 0 John Collinson 2; Stephen britton 0 Steven Webb 2; Paul Briddick 2 Bill Turner 0; Ian Richardson 1 Peter Mernor 1; Paul Atkinson 2 Ronnie Wright 0. In the doubles Ian Richardson and Paul Briddick beat Peter Mernor and Ronnie Wright, whilst Paul Atkinson completed the home victory by beating Steven Webb in the first captain's game.
In a re-arranged league match, Spennymoor Ash Tree strengthened their chances of landing the Championship when they only dropped one point to the visiting Bishop Auckland RAFA Club. This leaves Crook Olde Horse Shoe six points clear of the Ash Tree, who have a match in hand.
In the other re-arranged league match, Spennymoor Weardale beat the visiting Bishop Auckland Derby by five points.
