Axa Insurance take on the Royal Oak and Axa took an early lead with Chris Baines catching the Oak defence sleeping.

Oak hit back when Neil Jollie opened his account for the day when he latched on to a Stu Broughton flick and Broughton was again the provider for Jollies' second goal.

His acrobatic overhead kick hit a post before being turned in by Jollie to put the Oak 2-1 ahead.

Axa's keeper Luke Scott pulled off some excellent saves as Oak took control, before Jollie completed his hat-trick on 70 minutes after a great ball from man of the match Dave Tuschick.

At 3-1down Axa rallied and finished strongly, scoring a penalty through Martyn Railton, but Royal Oak held on to continue their excellent start to the season with 3-2 victory.

In a high-scoring game Highland Laddie ran out 7-5 winners away to the Cricketers. It took five second half strikes to give the Laddie victory, in a hard-fought game. In the first half the Laddie looked bright and took an early lead only for the Cricketers to equalise midway through the half. Just minutes before the break Highland Laddie scored a second to lead 2-1 at the break. The second half continued in the same vain as the first, although the Laddie were always ahead. The Cricketers managed to score four times, but the Laddie netted five more in a nine goal second half. Scorers on the day for the Cricketers were Dave Kimmons and two each for Alan Tweddle and John Dean and Highland Laddie had Jamie Irving and Mike Colman with a goal apiece, two from Chris Holliday and a hat-trick from Gareth Hodgson.

MN All Stars continued their fine start to the season with a 2-1 win over Sherwoods. After an even first half it was Steve Park who put the visitors ahead, but a spell of All Stars pressure resulted in Mark Keenan heading home the equaliser. With just a couple of minutes left on the clock the All Stars were awarded a penalty which Steve Howden converted to give the home side the points.

Haughton finally got their season started with their first win of the new campaign against a resolute Falchion side. Haughton went into an early lead when a mix-up in the Falchion defence saw the ball break to Andy McLeod who rounded the last man to slot home from close-range.

The remainder of the first half saw an even encounter with the best chances falling Haughtons' way but with both defences on top the half finished 1-0. After the break Haughton pressed forward and their patience finally paid off when substitute Karl Lockwood lobbed the Falchion keeper from 20 yards. With time running out Falchion pushed forward looking for a goal to get them back into the game and got their reward when James Benson received a long through ball to hit a low volley past the Haughton keeper. The home side responded well and in the dying seconds McLeod capped a fine performance by bursting through the visitors defence and with a cool finish made the final score 3-1 to Haughton.

A well-contested match played in a good spirit was settled when Goodfellas came out 3-2 winners at St. Augustines, goals from Gavin Bage, Lee Catheral and an own goal from Leigh Taylor-Wright saw the visitors home to their first win of the season while goals from man of the match Stephen Piper and Mel McEvoy were not enough to see St Augustines keep their unbeaten start to the season.

In the other game in Division three Drinkfield won away at Newton Cap 4-3.
