Longhorn Hardware Darlington and District League: DGSOB 3 v 3 Shuttle and Loom.
Despite Old Boys being three goals up at half time it was Shuttle who had dominated only to be denied by some excellent saves by veteran keeper Steve Chandler. Old Boys goals came via three excellent strikes from outside the area the pick of which was a 20-yard volley from David Challies. Chris Parks and Peter Gray were Old Boys other marksmen.
Shuttle kept up the pressure in the second half and were duly rewarded with goals from Ian Brock, John Wray and sub Peter Wilkinson. Shuttle were denied a winner when man of the match John Wray's 20-yarder came back off the underside of the bar.
Greyhound 5 v 0 East End WMC
The sides were level until the 25th minute when Kurt Burleigh pounced on a rebound to side foot into the top corner from 12 yards. Alan Robson then set up brother Peter to increase the lead seven minutes later. Peter Robson added a third in the 40th minute, heading home a Ross Mitchell cross.
East End never gave up but were powerless to stop Peter Robson completing his hat-trick with another header and on 68 minutes Alan Robson made it a nap hand when he pounced on a long ball from brother Peter to slip the ball under the keeper. Joseph Makepeace was Greyhound's man of the match.
Hole in the Wall 4 v 1 Fox & Hounds
Fox scored against the run of play to lead 1-0 at the interval. Wall made their pressure tell in the second half and equalized through Robbie Dodsworth. A David Wilson brace put Wall two up and Dodsworth added his sword to complete the scoring. Andrew Mackintosh was Wall's man of the match.
Killinghall Arms 3 v 1 Heighington
Killie started slowly and could easily have been two down before Gary Alford finished off a fine move to put them ahead. Kevin Ashton and Sean Rochford increased the lead before the interval. Heighington tightened up defensively in the second period and were rewarded when Andy Etherington pulled a goal back. Danny Fleary was Killie's man of the match.
Newton Aycliffe 7 v 2 Barn. Castle
Aycliffe raced into a three goal lead before being pegged back when Nick Coverdale converted Dryden's pass. Aycliffe kept up the pressure in the second half and added three more before Dryden reduced the arrears volleying home man of the match Andrew Harwood's cross.
Aycliffe's scorers were Gareth Boyes (2), James Miller (2), Craig Barrigan, Will Swinburn and Neil Topping.
