HEALTH issues facing young people will be debated at a national seminar to be held onTeesside.
The event in Middlesbrough will look at issues from the perspective of parents and young people.
Over two days, the topics under discussions will include sex and sexual behaviour, teenage pregnancy, and fertility services.
Also to be debated will be prostitution, drug use, young people with challenging behaviours and mental health problems, and teenagers' psychological and physical needs.
The seminar will be helpful to anyone who comes into contact with young people.
It is open to professionals including social workers, police officers, teachers, doctors, nurses, community workers and health promotions specialists.
Sessions will feature presentations by experts in each field, followed by time for questions and answers.
Sponsorship for the event is being sought and stands will be available for a fee.
The Children's Services department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust is holding the national two-day seminar on November 17 and 18 at the Middlesbrough Teaching and Learning Centre, Tranmere Avenue, in Middlesbrough.
