A BOY won a makeover for his mother and a school uniform for himself in a shopping competition.
Nine-year-old Matthew Peacock from Roseworth, Stockton, was one of five prize winners in the competition.
It was organised by shopkeepers in Wellington Square, in the town centre.
For her prize, his mother Claire, a full-time housewife, enjoyed a haircut at Supercuts and a make-up session at Debenhams.
She said: "I can't believe Matthew went to all this trouble to win himself a uniform and get a complete makeover for his mum as well.
"I feel like a totally new woman, as running a home and looking after two boisterous young boys leaves me with very little time to pamper myself."
Her son, a pupil at Redbrook Primary School, received a uniform from Debenhams, a backpack from Littlewoods, stationery from WH Smith and a calculator from Dixons.
The other winners were George Blott, aged seven, Courtney Place, four, Hailey Lawson, eight and Jay Rookes, ten, who all won school uniforms from Marks and Spencer.
