GURKHAS will perform a fundraising concert in the North-East next month.
The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas and the Pipes and Drums of the 2nd Battalion will be at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, on Friday, October 31, at 7.30pm.
The evening, featuring well-known music plus traditional Gurkha dances, is to raise money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, which pays more than 11,500 welfare pensions to destitute former soldiers and widows in Nepal.
Tickets for the show, which is sponsored by Sherwoods of Darlington, are £10, £8 and £6, with concessions for pensioners and children.
They are available from the Dolphin Centre and the Gurkha Welfare Trust, at Clear Beck Cottage, Moor Road, Bellerby, Leyburn, North Yorkshire. Alternatively, call (01969) 663551.
