HUNDREDS of members of the Scots Guards Association paraded through Darlington at the weekend.
Current and ex-servicemen and their families marched from Bondgate Methodist Church to the Market Place, followed by a 15-minute performance from the Regimental Band and Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion.
The Durham and Yorkshire branch of the association was the host for this year's gathering of the Scots Guards.
Activities included a concert at Ripon Cathedral on Friday evening, a beating retreat in Ripon Town Square on Saturday afternoon and displays at Ripley Castle yesterday.
Branch president Captain Alex Allender said: "We had over 2,000 people here - they travelled hundreds of miles from all over the country to attend. It was excellent."
