A COUNCIL'S regeneration work has won an award.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.(RICS) North-East Award for Excellence was received for Gateshead Council by its cabinet member for development and transport, Councillor David Bollands.
RICS North-East's outgoing chairman Kevan Carrick said: "The brilliant projects spearheaded by Gateshead Council over the past ten years have proved inspirational to property professionals around the world.
"From the Angel of the North to the Baltic, the Millennium Bridge and the Sage Centre, Gateshead has supported schemes that have won the area recognition at the highest level, while making a real difference."
The award was launched to highlight work in land, property, construction and the environment.
