Geoff Peacock(66), Mark Mullen (30) and Jones, with an unbeaten 35 led Wolviston to 196-7 but they rarely looked like bowling out the home side who finished with 108-7 on top including an unbeaten 53 by Michael Stanwix, who went in at number three.
Great Ayton made no mistake in their home game with Marske, overtaking the target of 161 with nine wickets remaining. Glen Mudd struck two sixes and 16 boundaries in an unbeaten 104 and John Grainge carried his bat for 35 as the pair hurried Ayton to victory in just 26 overs.
